I’ve officially launched caffeinate!

After sending a couple of clients Starbucks eGift Cards I wondered how hard would it be to automate the process.

(I mostly just wanted a reason to build a ruby gem.)

The first iteration was a simple script that was around 200 lines of hacky code.

I decided to repackage it into a proper ruby gem that is nicely thought out. I worked hard to stay true to Ruby’s standards and made my methods lean and expressive.

It was a really nice break from writing Java.

I’m hoping to expand on top of this gem with a simple api service, to learn about building out proper api web services.

Go check it out - Github, RubyGems, Project Page
